They are difficult to put over the neck of the carboy kind of comical in a way but,with two channel locks it can be done and once there on it's permanent. So with that all said they are a great product!

They had all the equipment, but no time to do it. So, I jumped in completely ignorant of the mess and aggravation.One of my biggest fears was handling their beautiful glass carboys. Those things are expensive! The middle one came with a handle, but the outer two did not. I was planning on getting some when these popped up. So, I grabbed them! (pun intended ;p)Putting these handles on the carboys was tricky. I separated the two parts and then used the padded handle of a wrench to pry the neck portion apart and work it around the neck. You must put it below the second ring or you risk the neck splitting while carrying it. Start at one side of the open end and gently roll it over that lower ring. When you get over half way around, the rest will follow pretty easily.The only issue I had with these was that there was not a second washer to keep the nut from working into the hinge holes. Luckily I had some in the garage. They are a little bigger on the O.D. but the I.D. fit perfectly. I knocked it down one star because they did not provide any directions or a second washer.

It works well, however it's a pain to get on. You really need to put in some muscle to get the round portion over both lips of the carboy. It could have shipped with the arms of the circle portion bent more open. Once you get the handle on the neck of the carboy it fits great and does not wiggle. I also wish the bolt had a hex head instead of a philips head, because the bolt head would have a much lower chance of getting stripped. It also should have came with another washer on the side with the wing nut. Once you get it on it does the job.I feel like it is fairly priced for getting two handles.Thank you for reading my review, I hope it was helpful.
