I bought these to replace a pump. The old orings were stiff brittle and leaking. These are more oike washers with an o-ring molded to one side. They were more pliable and the ring fit in the union groove holding the washer in place while I stood on my head to tighten the union nut. No leaks!!!

These were exactly what I needed to repair a leaky heater union on my Great Lakes Spa. The how to video that the seller posted on his YouTube channel was right on the money and saved me a bunch of time and headache figuring out the process, how to replace it without draining the tub, and also exactly what to order before taking it apart and having several days of downtime while waiting on parts. The tip on using oil filter pliers instead of a pipe wrench or strap wrench on the split nuts was money. It worked much better in the tight quarters than the other alternatives would have. I can only imagine that the local dealer would have charged me $100+ for a service call and this repair. I have barely an hour total invested (including research and the repair itself...) and I have a nice new set of new filter pliers and three spare gaskets for less than $20 all-in. Thanks Spa Guy...

got here on time, did the job great - instructional video was helpful. Make sure before you turn the pool on though that you don't have a water lock (i.e. air in the pipes around the motor preventing the pump from doing anything): when you open the trap to let the water back in after installing the new seals, loosen the nut the new seal is in until you get a hiss and some water, then tighten back up; this will let all the air out of the system and allow the pump to function properly.

This is a gasket, it should fit and not leak. That's what it does. No complaints.

Didn't stop the leak. I replaced them with another one purchased from the dealer in my area and the leak stopped.

These went on without any special sealer, too; slipped right into the ridges and stayed there during the close-quartered re-installation process. First time seal and leak check was successful with zero re-tightening...js
