- It can be controlled through the DMX console, receive international DMX512 standard digital control signals, convert them into PWM controller signals to drive LED lights
- RJ 45 network output/input interface design, easy to connect with DMX console and other DMX512 decoders.
- Support RDM function: the address code of this decoder can be set on the DMX master
- Each DMX decoder occupy 5 DMX address, each channel for 256 gray levels, dimming PWM output 0-100%,
- 16bit (65536 levels) /8bit (256 levels) grey level selectable.
- Logarithmic or linear dimming curve selectable.
- It can easily control and change the light color/mode. Suitable for various scenarios. Such as home lighting systems, small churches, parties, stage performances, etc.

I do some very small scale lighting at small events in small venues, so my knowledge and experience with DMX is limited. I wanted to use this to set up some lighting around my booth and some very limited effects. I didn’t intend on doing major scenes or anything with this. All that being said, it did work, but it is not for the faint of heart. There wasn’t much included to assist you with setup. I guess once you do one, you’re good for any future purchases, but if this is your first go around with a device like this, there is a big learning curve. With a little digging online or help for a friend, you’ll be ok but it’s not plug n play, nor did I really expect it to be so I can’t take away any stars for that. It did work nicely for its intended purpose. This is good for light strips and small ancillary effects that you want on an independent system, so go in with the proper expectations and you’ll be happy. I am not running a lot of power through this so I can’t speak to its power rating and limits, but based on my use so far, I’d be very cautious running anything with significant amperage or wattage through it.

Worked great! Easy to figure out. Will work right out of box without any setup. Comes with instructions. Has many extra features that you can use if you want to.

the unit also has a standalone function allowing for preset default colors .... the only other feature i would like is an IP65+ version... otherwise .... love it.

I've never used one of these, but I have a massive amount of lights/lighting throughout my home. Was thinking this could be used for effects, etc, but I've no idea how to use it, and searching the internet for help wasn't easy either. I'm pretty technically minded; however, I just couldn't figure out how to use this. Feels like quality though, and other reviewers have it set up, so it may be just what you need if you understand how to use it already.

I used this with a 4-wire RGB light strip and it worked fine once I got the proper cables to connect it to my DMX controller. I originally tried it with a XLR-to-RJ45 DMX adapter I had on hand, but couldn't get it working. It turned out the adapter I had was not wired to the DMX standard (data on 1 & 2 and GND on 7 & 8) - so my bad. Once I had adapters that were wired correctly, it worked like a charm. So make sure the pinouts are correct on any cabling you are using.I didn't get any instructions with the one I received. It didn't even have a box, it was just in a clear plastic bag. But I was able to find a copy of the manual online by searching for the model number. There's really not much to it, but it's worth having the manual to make sure you understand everything about it.One nitpick I had with this unit is that the release tab on the RJ45 connections are on the bottom side. This makes removing the network cable difficult - at least with my fat fingers. It would have been better if it was designed with the release tab on top instead.

I do a lot different LED installations which sometimes utilize DMX512 protocol. This decoder is easy to use and its affordable. Its easy to connect the various channels and get it working without wasting too much time. The digital display is a nice bonus.
