The D-SPLIT is a 1 to 4 DMX 512 splitter, allowing you to send your signal in different directions or to increase the number of fixtures that you can send your signal to (DMX signal is limited to running through 32 fixtures). Bought this after seeing one in use. It's a great piece of gear. So much smaller and lighter weight than other DMX splitters I've used. Works great.

it includes a bracket for DIN rails but would be nice if it had an option for mounting to pipe as I think that's a more common use case for this packaging

All lighting companies need large Iso Splits, but everyone who does lighting should own one of these handy little boxes. I have used them for about 15 years, and these are way better built , or it seems than their predecessors. If you run DMX all over the stage, an iso split keeps issues on one line from affecting others. It's a good safety step.
