This is a harder material that original, which I believe will be better for my purpose. I was putting it on a DW421. Fit was no problem at all. T20 screws on mine. Took longer to get the driver that to change and be running !

This worked fine on my Dewalt 5-inch sander. Was easy to install and grips the sandpaper sufficiently. Hopefully, it will last as long as the original.

Backing plate of pad is plastic material in which screws on sander bored through plastic backing plate causing pad to fall off sander within 10 minutes of use. Would definitely try to find one with metal backing plate on pad.

I needed this to replace the hook & loop pad on my random orbital sander. The old one was worn so it wouldn't reliably hold sanding discs.
