However I hope I never have to give a "REAL" review. In that the 5 stars is theoretical. They seem to be well made and have what appears to be legit embossed rating on the body of the pads as advertised.

I have an old Joe Rocket Hemp jacket and I had not wore it (or rode) in about 7 years. When I put it on, the shoulder and elbow/forearm pads disintegrated almost instantly. I bought these as hopefully sounds replacements and honestly, wow. The shoulders constantly throw me off and make me think they have shifter (they have not) and then I realize they are just well profiled and fitted. Some may say "its too thin" but I disagree vehemently. The elbow forearm pads were my greatest concern simply due to their pocket size. However after fitting them in and riding about 200 miles I can say they sit perfectly (98% of the time) and are just as good or better than the original pads.The back piece is a bit smaller than my original and is of the same material as the other pads, whereas my back piece is made of D30 so hasn't deteriorated. Since that is the case I am storing the new back pad away until my original is either used (pray not) or deteriorates.

I didn’t have to trim anything. Shoulder, elbow, back pad all fit in like they’re supposed to and stay in place perfectly. The jacket feels great.

Whether you're upgrading from CE1 or adding armor to a jacket that didn't come with it, this is a great buy. The main difference between our other jacket's armor is really the size of the back protector and more ventilation. This back protector seems a slightly bit smaller. But, it seems like it'll get the job done in an inexpensive way. There is always the option to go for more ventilation with a D30 or other variations out there. Know that you'll be paying a LOT more for that option. I'd rather just ride a little faster and get more air moving that way.

After hitting them hard I don't feel the texture changing that much. I guess it is better than nothing.

Fits good on my HD jacket, also for my gf jacket as well. Soft and shock absorbing, comfortable to wear

The items seem nice. I only got 2 knee pads, 2 elbow pas, no back p ad. I checked the box pictures, label and inside. Box and label say 5pc. There is no way that 5 pieces could fit in this box.
