These are great for yarn based projects, but what I got them for was actually my cat boxes. I was using pellet litter and the new layered sifting boxes I got had too wide a gap between the sifter parts. These were just the right size to fit over that in the bottom and keep my cat litter from falling through and/or getting stuck.Since then I’ve moved on to a fine clumping litter, but I was pleased that these cleaned up well enough I *could* still use them for crafts. They didn’t hang onto the scent which I’d been concerned about.

l holes are to big. I like the holes a little more so will use for crafts
