This cord is used with draperies and vertical blinds. The best way to figure out how much you would need just double the width of the window in inches and the length in inches and then divide by 12 to get the feet.

This is very nice quality and quite slick. Probably slicker than the string the came on the shades. But that is a good thing. It slides more easily. I assume it lasts as long or longer than the original string because it slides so well.

Advertised as a 2.4mm cord it is actually a 1.6mm cord. First picture shows thickness of my cord at .095 inch which is the equivalent of 2.4mm. The second picture shows the cord sent to me from Amazon/JCBlinds which is .065 or 1.6mm. The cord sent is only 2/3 of the size that I need. You can see the difference in the photo's.Comes in a zip lock bag with 50 ft written on it and no other label. This will not work on the track for our heavy felt curtains.

Cord fit as replacement for vertical blinds track pull. Snaking the cord through the track mechanism was a time consuming tedious process. My verticals live again!

My 20-yr old blinds are still in awesome shape but the cords were getting looser and looser, as if they were elastic. I noticed the the threads were wearing and unwinding, so I decided to replace before they broke. Another reviewer suggested using a lighter to fuse the order cord with the new one to thread it easily, and so it did! Perfect replacement if you have the same size.

I restrung my verticals with this string and it did not last terribly long. It tore and I did not want to bother restringing.I bought stock blinds from Home Depot and installed that instead. The stock blinds come with a wand rather than pull string mechanism. I used the slats from the original blind because they are made of better material but no longer have the pull string system. The string was not strong enough.
