If you have a pool or a shop vac, you need these. They work great as a liner for the pool skimmer to make cleaning it much easier. Just pick up the filer out of the skimmer and throw it away. Stretch a new one over the basket and your ready to go. Filters out a bunch of the little stuff that just clogs the pool filter. This keeps the filter cleaner and more efficient.Have a shop vac? Stretch this over the pleated filter and save yourself a bunch of time trying to clean the expensive pleated filter by catching many of the particles that clog it up. It kind of acts like a double filter and is much easier to slip off and shake or blow it clean. It also makes the pleated filter easier to clean too. Yeah it's still a nasty job but this makes it quicker and easier. The filters are cheap and you can find other uses for them too. Handy to have around when you need something like them.

I have an 18-foot diameter above ground pool in central Texas. Due to high heat, intense sunlight, debris from vegetation in the area, as well as frequent use by many people, the pool will turn green in a heartbeat. So far this year, we have managed to keep the water relatively clear but we have been getting algae and other debris deposits on the bottom. This requires vacuuming up on a daily basis, lest the pool "bloom" with an out of control algae situation requiring a lot of $$$ in chemicals to clear up.Unfortunately, while my handheld pool vacuum WAS getting up a lot of the algae and debris each time I used it, it was also sending out out billows of algae/debris through the water exhaust. Those billows would make the pool temporarily cloudy. I'd run the sand filter for a few hours (Usually people would be in the pool at this time), let everything settle overnight, making the water again more or less clear, and then vacuum again at noon. Rinse and repeat. Another issue was that the vacuum's filters (Like a poly-fill material cup) would get debris stuck in it and trying to remove that debris was cutting the life of those filters.I got these pool skimmer socks to address both of those issues. I use two pool skimmer socks at a time - One on the inside of my handheld pool vacuum's poly-fill filter, and one on the outside. The pool skimmer socks were highly effective at stopping most of the billowing. In fact, it was only after vacuuming more than half the pool that I could detect any billowing and it was just a little, comparatively speaking. I solved that by switching to clean pool skimmer socks when I was halfway through. After vacuuming with the pool skimmer socks, the pool water remains crystal clear. All the debris that I previously would have had to pick out of the pool vacuum's poly-fill filter now washes easily out of the pool skimmer socks.I've used the same pool skimmer socks (4 total) for almost a week now. I've been able to wash them clean each time (Just a tiny bit of green is beginning to stain the seams now) and so far, there has NOT been any detectable decrease in their efficacy. I think the packet of 50 pool skimmer socks will last me quite a while.These pool skimmer socks have been an affordable and highly effective game-changer for my pool maintenance routine - I highly recommend this product.

Easy to use and collects all the little particles that would normally go through to the sand filter! They are sturdy and do not rip or tear upon use. Cheap enough to throw each one away after use!It does a great job of filtering - so good that it causes the filter to slow down a little. We leave it on for a couple of hours and the filter goes right back to full capacity.

It works well, it filters out any type of dirt very well and keeps it trapped. It is easy to clean for more than one use, but after 2 uses it is still necessary to use a new one to get it to work properly.

These skimmer socks fit my skimmer basket perfectly! With the great quality and excellent price, I can change my skimmer socks frequently instead of trying to rinse them out. My pool is near about a dozen pine trees, and with the dumping of 'baby pine cones' and pine needles, these socks catching that debris will help ensure my pool pump, SWC, and heat systems will last as long as possible. These will definitely stay on my restocking list on Amazon.

This sock not only makes debris clean out easier, but it catches smaller particles that normally go straight through the baskets and into my sand filter. It fits over my Hayward above ground skimmer basket and is easy to take off and on. I have been shaking this sock out to prolong its life and so far have done this twice and it is still functioning great. I threw the first one away because it was so full of stuff, but didn’t realize how easily the trash will just dump/shake out of it. It is saving so much pollen and “spring tree stuff†from making its way to the pump basket and sand filter. I wish I had found these years ago.

Very good quality. Surprised how well they work. I have rinsed the same one out and reused 3 times so far and it is holding up very well. I think the pack of 50 I bought is going to last a while.

These pool socks an awesome. The price is phenomenal. We change our pool sock almost daily as we have a few trees close to our outdoor pool. They fit perfectly in the basket. Capture all the grease from lotions and small particles from heading through the pipes into the main filter. We will definitely order again.

Used in Beachcomber hot tub. Much cheaper than the ones they sell. Works great. Seem a little thinner but seem to work just as well.
