Honestly great glass for the money. The only down side is the long ship time from China.

You get what you pay for, my set had a pinhole in the condenser. It’s in a place I can reach so that’s nice. The glass on the flasks is nice and thick, same with the soxhlet.

Works like a charm! Excellent for small batch extractions!

The set works as intended -- you won't have any issue with most solvents and solutions. The issue comes about with thicker solutions of things like tannins where the siphon doesn't work as intended, it slowly dribbles out rather than pulling the entirety of the liquid though. This could be fixed by increasing the size of the glass tube that heads from the bottom of the soxhlet. It still works just fine like this, but it could lead to issues if flooding the entirety of the soxhlet should the rate of flow go to low. A larger issue in my eyes is the leaking from the joints. Admittedly I did not use grease, but the level of leaking was rather bad compared to most glassware from china I get. With water it isn't so much of an issue, however when using more volatile organic solvents like heptane and such the leaking gas and liquid poses a fire hazard. It works, lemme put it that way. If you aren't planning to use it constantly or frequently it's fine. Use boiling stones (broken ceramic chunks from a plate will work) in the boiling flask to prevent bumping. It shipped slow, but it's from china so what can you expect? Be patient. The packaging is decent. The only minor flaw was a chipped bit of glass snapped off the corner of the inlet of the condenser after weeks of transit.
