First, a small issue. I received the "Mahogany Handle" and noticed that the color in the product photos are not quite representative of the actual color. The photos make it look like a normal dark mahogany finish, but the one I received was lighter. You can see next to my tamper and WDT tool it looks much lighter than the the product images show. Obviously this is a VERY minor complaint, but if you're like me, I like things to match well and would have gone for something a bit darker had I known.However, the portafilter itself is SUPERB quality. Comes with a great filter basket and puck screen that I use daily. Fits perfectly into my Breville Barista Pro and works like a charm. Build quality is very sturdy and has a nice weight to it. Does not feel cheap at all and would highly recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade from their stock portafilter. I was able to pull a nice looking shot after only a few minutes of calibrating it with my grind size and dosage. You can see there is no channeling, renders perfect amount of crema, and produces a smooth, steady stream. I very quickly got over the color problem and am extremely happy with this product!

Product is solid and beautiful. Sadly, I had to return it because it did not fit the Breville dual boiler. Even thought the Breville dual boiler has an E61 group head with a 2 ear portafilter, this particular portafilter did not fit.

I like the bottomless design. It comes with a nice filter basket and puck screen. The puck screen works well and keeps the coffee from getting on the bottom of the espresso machine where the water comes out.The only problem with it is the dosing funnel that comes with the Breville Pro did not fit too well. It finally wore in and fits now after several uses.

This porta filter feels premium, it fits in the machine great. Not crazy about the basket it came with. I can't fit 16g with the shower screen.The basket also let's a touch of silt through.

While this filter does fit my profitec machine, the casting of the mold leaves a bit to be desired. It rubs on the machine in not a great way (you can feel the friction) and is leaving physical wear on the flanges of the portafilter (and my machine too probably) that are not there on some of my nicer portafilters. I also have to really tighten it to ensure there are no leaks or spurts from the edges. Maybe I got a not so great one, but for only 2 weeks of usage I don't think the quality is there for this kind of wear.

It's a little bit of a hefty price tag for a portafilter. But I must say I was surprised how well it did fit into my Breville BES840XL. I have a different portafilter that I bought for a different espresso machine and while it fit at first, once the gasket started getting a little worn it has been a pain to use.But this has been the opposite experience, it's a tight/snug enough fit that it truly does feel like it was built for this machine. Not only does the wooden finish feel very nice, but it really does feel durable. I definitely can see myself using this for the next several years.But to me the cherry on top is the fact that this does come with a puck screen and a high quality well made basket. Out of all the baskets I have, this one is the second largest sized one I have. The largest one I have is 28mm height, so this one is probably 25 or 26mm. Large enough to do a double shot of espresso.Not sure how to explain it. But while I've primarily used my other espresso machine for the last several months. This Portafilter is so well made and satisfying to use. It's almost like I'm getting a small dopamine hit every time I use it, to the point it's almost as if it's encouraging me to use my Breville BES840XL espresso machine instead. So considering what all it comes with and the quality, very much worth it.
