We are very happy with this gate. Installation was very easy, once in place no further adjustments were needed. All details for installation are very well thought and came with the product in order. The gate have been in place and in use for two months. There is no damage to the walls whatsoever. The gate is very sturdy, functions very well. Door opens and closes with no issues. We bought the gate because we adopted a new kitten while already having a resident cat 4 years old. To introduce the new kitten to our resident cat we needed to keep them separate, so they gradually get to know each other. First the kitten was in a separate room, then both the cat and the kitten separated by the gate. This gate served the purpose perfectly. We still use the gate!!! :) Funny - we use the gate to separate ourselves from the cats who are long time together now. :) Cats play all night an so we use the gate so they play without disturbing our sleep. :)You see the gate is installed where it separates bedrooms from the rest of the flat and therefore the gate is in perfect place with the perfect purpose. We will eventually remove the gate of course, that is when the kitten is grown and when both cats calm down and once again sleep through the night with us in bed like the older cat used to do before the new kitten arrived. We can say with confidence that the gate is perfect for cats and small dogs for sure. We are not sure if big dogs would not dislodge the gate if pushed with dog's weight and power. Cates do not push the gate and the height of the gate is perfect for cats do not jump over. We highly recommend this product. Thank you very much.

We recently added 4 feral cats into the house in a somewhat emergency circumstance. They've been trapped in one room for a month, so we needed to give them access to a little more of the house. Unfortunately, our two indoor cats are not interested in sharing the whole house. When I introduced our two to each other originally, we used all manner of makeshift barriers -- deer netting, stacked baby gates, etc. They were... not terribly user-friendly. I decided this time around to go with a 'cat gate' -- something that I don't think was really a thing 12 years ago when we got our other cats. I wasn't sure what height to get other than 'tall,' and I didn't want to get one of those ultra expensive ones because I didn't know if it would work. I settled on this one because it had an option for a narrower doorway, as one of the areas we want to block is only about 30 inches wide. I was worried a little that only 57 inches tall might be a problem, as the ferals are pretty athletic. But so far, it's worked really well. It keeps the ferals from getting into the rest of the house, and allows us pretty easy access back and forth. The human gate portion is a little narrower than I'd like, but in a 30 inch doorway, any wider, and I suspect it just wouldn't be a stable design.I will say, if you plan to MOVE it after installation, buy some longer zip ties. It has this weird design feature that I haven't quite figured out where part of the gate is... bent? It arrives zip-tied together and you're instructed not to cut the zip tie until after you install. But if you take the door off again, it bends on one half -- I assume maybe to help with the compression fitting, but I'm not entirely sure why it's that way. It may just be a weird manufacturing decision to account for natural bending in the metal. Either way, before you move it, you'll want to re-zip tie the top to make it easier to get it into its next space. For the price, it's sturdy and solid, and the spacing between the slats is right to keep cats and kittens out, so I'm really pleased with the thing. I may grab another and use them more permanently for some areas we want to keep blocked off (workshop, etc) once we finally get these ferals sorted.

Very sturdy. Our cats cannot climb it or jump over it. Easier to install than the older model and the latch makes more sense. The latch failed on the old one. This latch seems sturdier.

We looked long and hard for a gate that would span our 62" hallway, allowing our shy cat access to three rooms while she acclimates to a new cat that she is inexplicably terrified of. Wide shot shows how nice the gate looks, take my word that it is sturdy and just wide enough for 62" -- the screws with the rubber discs that grip the wall are extended pretty far. We are beyond happy to be able to get in and out with ease and through a stable gate that swings both ways.Overall, it was easy to install (though I made a boo-boo) and I set it up myself across a 62" opening, in about a half hour.A few quibbles...1. The instructions are unhelpful. There is a *generic* parts inventory and an instruction sheet that arrived damaged and torn. None of the parts are labelled, and the instructions are not specific to the size you ordered he pieces did not reflect the pieces we had. It was unclear to me how the partitions should be attached as a result.2. I got the whole thing put together before I realized that the partitions on either side of the gate are upside down -- subtle, but there is a 1/4 to 1/3" inch difference in the width/depth of the lower versus upper rail, and with this mistake, the brace that you use to secure the partitions does not fit b/c the rails are not aligned. It feels sturdy anyway and the issue is more cosmetic. I am hoping we won't need this gate more than a month or two so it may not be worth correcting.3. When we dismantle this we will LABEL things so it is clear how they go together. We just got a bedframe that came with helpful labels at each end to indicate what attaches where, plus each part was labelled. So helpful and that was a relatively easy/straightforward installation compared to this.I'm being critical here b/c assembly is so important. The gate, once installed, is great.
