I'll be honest when I say I ordered these for quantity and not quality. My daughter drums all day long, and goes through a TON of drumsticks. I thought it would be good to have two pair on hand and at the ready. And $14 two pair (at the time of this review) is a bargain. I'm a musician myself, and I like the feel of these. They are smooth with a good weight and nice balance. The brand name is not a sticker so there is no weirdness getting in the way. The grips are interesting. If I were ordering for myself, I wouldn't get drumsticks with grips but my daughter doesn't seem to mind them. She also has smaller hands than mine that don't hit the grips at the edge between the rubber and the wood. And they have a nice sound overall. I like the thicker neck down my the tip. Maybe she won't wear them down as quickly. All in all, for beginners, I think these are pretty good sticks.

Wouldรขโฌโขve given these sticks a five had it not been for the thicker diameter so close to the tip. The grips are nice and thin and donรขโฌโขt impede playing, just never liked grips, but thought I would give these a shot. The grips are thinner than what Iรขโฌโขve used before which is nice, but still seem a little bit awkward to me, at least. They have a nice weight to them, however like I mentioned, they are a little bit thicker at the top. Seem to hold up pretty well to heavy hits. Havenรขโฌโขt had much splintering. Good pair of practice or back up sticks though still like my Vic Firth, but these are good and cheaper alternative.

These drumsticks have a nice tight grain that holds up pretty well under the stress of my occasional mis-hits. Other sticks I've had have almost immediately splintered at the tops but these are still fairly smooth after several hours of use, which I hope means they won't break as quickly as others. The grips are very nice. They are very tight on the sticks so there is no slip or play between the stick and the grip. They definitely provide a better grip. Even though the grip is not terribly thick, it provides a small measure of padding. They are noticeably more comfortable than the sticks I use that don't have grips, and the extra security lets me ease up my death grip on the sticks. I find myself playing more during a session without getting fatigued. Given this, I'm going to be using these sticks going forward.

In the picture, the left set of sticks are the Anti-Slip handles in question, Hickory 5A. The right set of handles is Vic Firth Hickory 5A.Off the bat you can tell there is a size difference, and the tip is much larger. Because of the size difference and the added anti slip covering, they are a bit heavier than the Vic sticks. I don't love the anti slip covering, it felt weird, but maybe with use I'd get use to it.

These DIDA drumsticks are my son's favorite sticks now. He has been playing drums a lot, and he really likes the grip to keep from dropping drumsticks. The drumsticks seem well constructed, they are smooth and feel matched, well balanced. I don't usually use sticks with the grip, but I didn't mind them.

These are good quality, hickory drumsticks. I really like the grips. When I first got these I did not think the grips were that great, but playing with them changed my mind. These grips are not "tacky" like the tennis or pickleball grips I am used to. But they are perfect for drumming because they allow you to easily move and reposition the sticks in your hand for different strokes. I also like that the grips are on the very end. I noticed that a lot of professional drummer's hold their sticks at the end and these sticks help me position my hand there, which I do like better. It is also nice that these are made from a hardwood like hickory.

The selling point for these sticks is the holding power of the plastic sheath. For this function, the grip should be about 3 inches longer for an adult player with large hands. Indeed, a child would likely need to รขโฌลchoke upรขโฌย on the stick to achieve a suitable balance point and would need a longer sheath as well.My hands do not experience much of a problem of moisture while practicing so, in any event, slipping sticks is a rather moot point for me.Otherwise, the sticks are of average build quality. They do pervade a slight amount of odor when first unwrapped, which may be inherent with hickory (I generally play maple sticks) or it may be from the finishing agent. Not much of an issue either way.

These drumsticks look and feel quality. The size seems accurate to me for a 5A, but I've been out of practice for about a decade and a half now, so I could be wrong. They are very comfortable to hold, and they have great grip! They work exactly like you'd want them to, and thanks to the grip, they are easy to use without accidentally sending them flying across the room. At the time of my review, they are listed for $7.99 for a single set, and in my opinion, they are an excellent value!
