I read reviews and was skeptical of the quality but the order i got was well made , all the welds are good, and look really good installed . They are strong brackets i highly recommend.

Initially I liked these and thought the quality was pretty good, however, after I installed them the handrail felt lose. This is due to the hinged design. The wall mounted side was screwed in securely, but the rail still jiggled due the gap where the hinge pin is located between the railing mount and the wall mount. Could probably butt the railing return up against the wall next time to prevent that issue... otherwise, they look good.

Although I love the style and concept of these brackets they are not practical for a wall with 2x4 studs. As you can see in the picture the holes for the screws hit the outside edges of the 2x4 and would not be enough to support any weight being put on the handrail while going up or down the stairs. If I moved the bracket over to at least get a grip on the stud the other hole is not attached to anything. I would like to return them but unfortunately I didn’t start this project until now and it is past the return date and now I’m stuck with 5 expensive brackets.

These look nice and work well. They only get three stars though because the screws they included are worthless for exterior use. They started rusting immediately, I mean within days. I had to remove them all and replace them with stainless steel.
