This was my first time buying LED channels and it was a learning experience. This product itself is well-made and cuts easily with a normal wood chop saw.The bottom line is that if you have a continuous strip of 12mm LEDs you will be just fine. But if you need to put a connector of any kind on the LED strip to extend the strip or whatever, you are out of luck. If you are good enough with a soldering iron to solder the LED strips to extend them and not use the little plastic connector pieces, you will be good to go. I am not that proficient with a soldering iron, so I was out of luck.The problem is the width of the inside channel. It fits 12mm LED strips just fine. The problem is when you need to put a connector on the LED strip to extend it or put a 5-wire ribbon cable on the strip to connect it to the controller. The width of the channel is not wide enough to fit the connectors. The LED connectors themselves are as narrow as they can be. There really isn't enough material on them to sand them down to fit in the channel. I discovered this after I cut and mounted 30 feet of channel to the underside of the seating riser in my home theater room. So now I have channel I can't use and can't return.Thankfully, there are wider LED channels available for roughly the same price, so I bought one of those kits. This is one of those situations where I didn't know what I didn't know. Didn't occur to me that the connectors for 12mm LED strips are wider than 12mm and wouldn't fit into this channel. I just assumed that a channel made for 12mm LED strips would fit all the associated parts and pieces for 12mm LED strips. Lessen learned.This product is good and worth the money but just be careful that you will actually be able to use it.

Take a bit of effort to install, but are worth it to give LED strip lighting a much more finished appearance
