Adapters work great, allowed use of 2.5" SSD in server 3.5" hot-swap caddies.Unfortunately, the package I received appeared to be a return... The 5 caddies were in a cardboard box that was ripped at one seam [from being opened] and two of five the plastic packages containing screws were slit open and several screws were loose within the box.If I knew I was getting buying someones returned product, I would have expected to pay a reduced price.

These adapters perfectly fit every drive I tried (2 different eras of corsair and 1 samsung, all ssd). The fit was exceptional. The threads and screws provided all operated smoothly. Everything works. My only wish is that the exterior mounting thresds had optional standoffs so they could be mounted from top or bottom.

Very reliable did not have a single failure in terms of connector and performance.Sturdy and fits with most cases/space. The alignment for screws sometimes is off, but not a deal breaker. You can move the SSD a bit and tighten it.

I wanted to upgrade my ORICO 3.5" HDD External Enclosre to SSDI had an adapter from a different vendor but after installing it the connection did not line up.If you have an Encloseur by ORICO stick with them they work and the price for the 5 piece is great.

I have several WD velociraptors which are 3.5 inch. They fit perfectly in the adapters but they do not spin. If I put an SSD in there it's fine. I assume these adapters do not support the power requirements of the drives. One of them also had a damaged connector but the other 4 appeared to be undamaged. So, if your use case is like mine and trying to put a WD Velociraptor I recommend checking on ebay for the ice packs. These are just too cheap and will not work.

I assumed from looking at the photos 9and not reading the detailed description), that this was metal, with the fins to dissipate heat. That isn't the case, it's just formed plastic.There's nothing wrong with it being plastic, except being unnecessarily large. If they made it half-height, it could better flow air around it.
