For the price holy cow, definitely buy a set. Ive used all of mine making random HV transformers. Great to learn with. Theres no other core this size for such a cheap price. And they are all quality cores. The only thing is that they don’t fit perfectly together. There may be 0.5mm offset so if you use a bobbin, make sure there is extra tolerances. They sit flat together so no coupling issues. 10/10 will buy again

There is plenty of room for primary and Secondary wire ( insulated magnet wire or hook up wire insulated). For holding the 2 halves tight, I use 4:40 brass all threaded rod (non magnetic) with 4 washers and 4 nuts on sides. The rods (screw threads) are in the groove on each core, and go through (2) cut out end PVC plastic blue plates 1/16" thick. 2 drilled holes in end bracket plates line up with the end grooves from end. Trim corners with scissors. I also made optional bobbin reel for core, using cut pvc tube, and cut pvc plate and super glue for end pvc washers. For less expense and quicker assembly, tape the 2 mating surfaces , and then wrap all around with plastic Zip tie wrap and pull tight around the 4 corners. Material purchased on E bay US source. For Inverter use, the primary is to be wound BIFILAR type. (first wire of 2 wires wapped together, turns over core will connect to "OTHER" wire from underneath at end of wind, as the center tap plus+) I used red + white #12 gauge to easily tell wires apart.

I spent about an hour beating up a nail to make it act like a clip to secure the core, but I was better off just balancing one on top of the other
