Used these as LED light controls in our motorhome. My grandkids appreciate the ability to see in the dark and can see the switches when they are on.

I used two of these switches for a classic truck. The choice of orange was to match the overall color of the vehicle, and was used to control the aftermarket windshield wipers. These are small enough to fit into the headliner, but large enough to to use and see.For the record, the switch can be used as a positive or negative switch. The diagrams show a positive switch with the LED being always on or only on when in use. In a negative switch or ground trigger application {which is what I needed}, keep the red wire to a +12v wire. The yellow wire will go to ground. The green wire is the output to the device you need to control. The black wire will go to either the green wire for on/off lighting, or yellow to have the LED stay on all of the time.In a previous comment about continuity: the red and black leads are for the LED illumination, and the yellow and green leads are for what is switched. For the red/black, one direction will not have continuity, and the other may show an odd resistance. These wires on the switch are just for the LED illumination. Red and black won't read properly if just metered like a regular circuit.

Needed a simple push on/off switch and this worked well. There's also a red and black wire that you can use to illuminate the ring around the button that can be wired to light when on or off. There were no instructions but I was able to find similar wiring instructions online but would have been better if there was an illustration included in the package.

One of the switches has an odd defect...it latches, but when pressed again, the button pops up, but there is a delayed click up to 2 seconds later. This is the latching mechanism resetting...and even though the button has popped up, if you press the button again before the delayed reset, it will not re-latch and the switch is still engaged. I was able to wiggle the outer metal casing and make it less obvious, but it is still slightly hanging up (and the casing is more loose than the others). I suspect the solder time was slightly too long, or the casing was crimped a little off centered and the mechanism behind the button isn't traveling true inside the barrel. Otherwise, they are very nice little latching push buttons.(If I can fix it, or get a replacement sent...I will change the rating to 5 stars)
