I saw these egg openers advertised and thought they would work great. They do not work the way I expected. The whole egg breaks in half, not just the shell. The concept was good but in actuality they do not work.

This kitchen gadget is so easy to use. I used to crack the egg by tapping it against the rim of the bowl and that would make a drippy mess on the side of the bowl. With this gadget all you do is place the egg inside and press down on the stainless steel cutter and pull apart. No mess and no bits of shells in the bowl. 2 thumbs up!!

I always get all of the ladies in my family and the single men that live alone and off-the-wall item that they wouldn’t purchase for themselves for Christmas so everyone got one of these and needless to say they don’t work. I’ve tried multiple times and every time it ripped the egg or pulled chunks off of it so I’m not trying anymore. I think it’s a waste of money they’re advertisement did their job.

Opens raw eggs just fine. Just wasn’t able to get hard boiled eggs to open but is still very useful with raw eggs. The seller was very helpful with our hard boiled egg issue.

Only works on small to medium eggs. If you have medium to large, these will not work

Do not purchase this if you want to peel hard boiled eggs, it does not work. The video they show is fixed in my opinion. There is no way to tell how far the metal prongs are in the egg, it tears the egg apart. That's why I gave it one star. I haven't tried to open a raw egg yet, we will see. May have to return it.
