I like to add an egg on top of my grits every morning, and, for years, I'd fight the yoke in the bowl away from the whites and fold the white in while tryin to not break the yoke, Then I found these Egg Separator Long Handle gizmos and, lo and behold, I can hold the yoke apart from the whites while I thoroughly fold the whites into the grits, making a tasty smooth concoction. Works for me!!!

I eat 4 raw eggs yolks in a drink, twice per day. That's 8 egg yolks I need to separate. While I was doing a fine job of this just using the shell over the garbage can, it was messy.Now, I throw this over a medium sized Pyrex bowl, separate the yolk from the white, and toss the whites down the drain. It isn't perfect. The nicer and fresher the eggs are the easier it is to separate the yolks. Highly recommend organic, pasture raised, and regenerative farmed eggs, if possible.
