These drill bits are much cheaper than anything you will see in Lowe's or Home Depot but works equal to or much much better in some cases. I have been using these on bricks so far with no issues and they have seen a fair amount of use. I definitly recommend these for any home projects.

I ran a prototype shop for many years (40+) and while, luckily, we didn't have to use hammer drills that often, I do have a lot of experience looking at cutting tools. These bits are truly lovely. They are really well made and finished. The brazing (of the carbide "tooth" onto the body) is carefully done. What I can't tell, until I wear out a few, is how good the carbide is. And even then, it's hard to tell, unless its a real dog—I think a good percentage of the time I've needed to use a hammer drill, there were other "things" embedded in what I was drilling—whether an especially hard rock (in the concrete itself) or some rebar, etc.—that can play havoc with a hammer drill bit.I just used both the 1/4 and 3/8th bits to drill to mount some anchors, and was pleased with the cutting speed. The bits do not show serious wear yet—which is good, since it was just several holes with each. I expect them to be reasonably long lasting though; looking at the care taken in making them, I expect decent carbide was also used. Please wear both eye and ear protection when using these; for that matter, a dust mask would also be a good idea.

Needed to drill holes in ceramic pots for drainage. Worked very well. Started with the smallest and worked to the largest. Also needed to drill in plastic - which of course worked fine. Recommend!

I live in an old, all-brick home built in 1867. While I hate to drill into the brick, it does have to be done from time to time and I’ve been through way too many masonry bits that flatten or break while I’m drilling. So, I’m always looking for the right drill bits to help me get the job done. When seeing these I thought I’d give them a try as they had good reviews and seemed to be great quality. After giving them a try, I have to say they did the job well. They are strong and sturdy, and I don’t have any worry that they’re going to break. I haven’t used them for an extremely long period of time, so not sure if the head might flatten over time, but they do seem like they will last. While I like the set, I do wish there were some smaller sizes included. But, I knew their sizes prior to ordering so it’s only a recommendation.Overall, these are great bits and definitely get the job done. They deserve five starts and I recommend them for anyone else that has some tough materials to drill through.

I really like this set of carbide hammer drill bits. It's a complete set of all the useful sizes that you might need 3/16, 1/4, 5/16, 3/8 and 1/2 inch sizes and the carbide tip is nicely hefty and well sharpened. The bits are a good length at well over 3.5 inches so it will give you ample depth for your most demanding concrete anchor. What I liked most is that the shank end of each bit that goes in the drill chuck is an unusual design from the normal hex ends of most bits. These bits have a fluted end (see picture) where the flutes align with the teeth of the chuck so there is positively no slippage either radially or lengthwise as the hammer action takes place. This means you don't have to crank down so hard on the chuck to enure positive engagement of the bit and more power can be transmitted from the drill into the bit into the concrete. Great design.

I got these to drill through concrete block in my garage walls. The bits cut through with ease and have shown no sign of degradation after multiple uses.

What is installing a chimney cap which required a total of 10 holes. Two holes in the bit burnt out and I had to get off the roof and drive to the hardware store. I spent four dollars on another bit and finished the other eight holes. The bit I bought at the hardware store. Felt like a drill another 10 holes. This drill bit probably is good if you only have to drill one hole.
