I picked up a laser temp reader 14 bucks to assure that I got the right temp set and then marked the dial.It has a hump where the flat heating pad is so I cant get it all the way under the enclosure. But it will work I think.

It warms but just barely. We ended up giving it away because it wouldn't heat the warm side of the snake tank appropriately

It's really a pointless contraption as it has no markings to distinguish where it's at for a heat level. The side piece is bulky and it won't lay flat and if nothing is on it then it falls to the floor. Even with it at full heat there is not hot to it...just warm and disappointing.

This heat mat works great on one side of my 5 gallon terrarium. I used foil tape to stickcheat matt onto the side of terrarium.
