We're using this 6 gauge cable to re-wire the trolling motor connection on our boat to the battery box amidships. The jacket is EPDM synthetic rubber that is super flexible, and withstands extreme heat, cold and solvents - perfect for our marine application. The conductors are 418 strands of 32 gauge pure copper, first wound into 7 separate strands, then those strands wound to create the main cable. This high strand count assures maximum flexibility with lowest possible voltage drop when crimping or soldering connections. The price (approximately $40 for 15 feet of each red and black at the time of this review) is far less expensive than buying it by the foot at local marine stores, or buying a set of 6 gauge jumper cables (that typically have less conductor strands, and a much less flexible jacket) and cutting off/wasting the clamps.PROS:- Affordable- Good for marine applicationCONS:- None

Feeling this wire you can instantly tell that it's actual copper wire and it's pretty heavy (which is what you want). The wire is very flexible and the jacket supports it. I tried bending it and was not able to see any visible stretching or deforming of the jacket. The internal wire diameter was a little bit larger for the red compared to the black from the measurements I took. The red had a cross section diameter of about 4.8mm, while the black was about 4.65mm. According to wire charts that I looked up, this is in fact 6ga wire.I'm using this to upgrade my Chicago Electric flux core welder. I'm upgrading both of the power cables and switching from AC to DC at the same time. This is more then enough to re-do the entire welder with some to spare. Very happy with it!

Wiring up a battery bank in a camper. Nice fine strand easy to work with cable. Fits the lugs correctly. Full copper, not the fake aluminum wire. Does everything it should do.

Sorry, I have 2/0 gauge wire from my solar system 30KWH and the inner 100% copper wire is the same as YOUR outer protective sheath for your 100% copper, much smaller, 2 gauge wire. Seems that 2 gauge is not 2/0 so be really careful when buying wire on Amazon as these are made to two different specifications. I searched on 2/0 originally so it is my fault, luckily I can use it for the single battery connections, but not for translating the power from all four. I will need the larger wire for that!

Nice premium feeling 6 gauge copper in red and black insulation. So much of the wire that I have purchased in the past online is advertised in gauge and arrives in metric which always us a slightly smaller diameter than you ordered. It is refreshing getting what I ordered. The quality seems as good as I would get at the local hardware store. It seems to be an excellent value compared to what I would cost locally.I plan to use it in my camper to get 12 volt power more efficiently to my converter/distribution panel after a big solar/lithium battery upgrade. It should be perfect and a bit more efficient than the 10 gauge it will replace.
