The tape works great to seal door cracks. Used in FL for taping up doors for flooding protection for hurricanes. Sticks well & comes off easy & doesn't pull paint off.

As a musician, Gaffer Tape is one of the more important accessories I carry around with me to events and gigs. Bandmates and I used to use duct tape to keep people from tripping over our cables, but there was always a sticky residue left over from the adhesive that made it untenable for venues who wanted to keep their floors as clean as possible. Accidentally stumbled on gaffer tape a few years ago and have a slimmer roll of it in my bag even now. Wanted to get a wider roll of gaffer tape since the one I have is "just" wide enough to cover our cables - but when bunched together in some cases it's not enough. These rolls are 3 inches thick and definitely wide enough for practical application during gigs. Since my next gig is after the holidays I tested this out on my dehumidifier hose that runs into the sump pump. Taped it down in a few areas on my basement floor to prevent it from recoiling when the pump started, and worked like a charm. Good adhesion, enough width to cover the hose (which isn't that wide to begin with) and so far it's holding steady. No adhesive residue when lifting it either a few hours later. Can confidently recommend this tape. 5/5 stars

Seems to be only for very temporary use. Not industrial strength like advertised.

Having no other type of Gaffers tape to compare this to, I can only say that using it on car paint has been fine and is obviously stronger than masking tape for temporary usage. Holds great and doesn't leave any residue.
