These work GREAT for getting my skis flat in my double wide ski/snowboard bag so I don’t damage the bag. Highly recommend. Should’ve bought this years ago. Velcro is strong and fit even wide ski brakes

I got these because the rubber bands I was using for ski tuning are getting old and I don't want them to snap while I'm working. These are easy to apply- just put a loop over one brake, hold the brakes down and wrap over the other side. The velcro holds well. Releasing is even easier, when you lift the strap, the pressure lets the brakes ease out without snapping and trying to catch a finger. While I only tested them shortly for tuning, the velcro is strong and they are well made so these would work equally well for travel transport if you like to have your brakes out of the way in your bag.I tried on a 98 underfoot ski and a 116 underfoot ski, both were fine. So I think these can accommodate narrow skis to gigantically wide skis no problem.

These are velcro straps with a loop at each end to fit over each side of a ski brake. Because it’s longer than an elastic band, it’s easy to loop each end around the brake and then “zip†them together. When you’re done, they are as easy as any other velcro to separate.I did notice that with some wiggling the strap can become a little looser (as the velcro separates slightly) but it didn’t seem to loosen enough to let the brake get in the way.Clearly these straps won’t ever break or snap you (which isn’t fun for the fingers) and even if they were to come loose it would be a slow release of the brake.I like having multiple sets so I don’t have to swap the bands as I switch pairs of skis in and out while working on them. And in a pinch, you can wrap these around the tips of your skis to keep them together.

A terrible design and someone thought this was an improvement to existing ski brake retainers? These straps are not meant for wide skis and the method of hook and loop securement is subject to peeling forces which makes the attachment incredibly weak. Velcro will not readily separate when subjected to shear or sliding forces and this is how they should have been designed while adding some stretch or elasticity. Overall a complete disaster and a total waste of money.

Better than using zipties. Work well for waxing, storage, and travel

For this price you can't afford not to have these, they make everything so much easier than those junky oversize rubber bands. These are super useful for keeping the brakes out of the way while tuning your skis and you can also use them to help hold your skis down to a set of work horses.Second really nice use is if you need to tie up the brakes to make your skis fit on a ski rack. In my situation, my rack is too close to the top of my car for snowboards to fit upside down but with these I can now put the skis upside down and lay a snowboard on top of them. Big time bonus. They are made well and the velcro holds super tight, I expect to have these forever (or at least until my kids lose them).

This isn't anything too fancy but does the job! It comes in a pack of 6. It works pretty well - you only need to put one of the loops over the claw and wrap around the other one and then the velcro does the rest of the job. Then, you can easily wax the bottom side without the claws in the way.
