Your cart is empty.Low voltage transformer which are sometimes referred to as a step down transformer are used to convert main line voltage to a lower voltage suitable for bulbs. Transformers can be used with incandescent, halogen, xenon and krypton type bulbs. This transformer has a "120 Volt" Input Voltage which is converted to "12" Volts. (AC) Measurements 2.88" Long x 1.44" Width x 0.88" Height. This transformer is dimmable and is fully potted. Potting helps protect the internal components from being damaged if they are exposed to the elements. Minimum wattage requirements are common for lighting transformers. This means that the transformer will not produce 12 Volts if the "20 Watt" minimum wattage amount is not applied. Always make sure power is off when working with electrical parts and fixtures.

This product works great once you get the wiring right. It is important to have the black a white wires connected to the correct wires of the power input. I initially had them reversed. Directions would have been a great help.

The Transformer was slightly too thick to fit inside of the light case. Drilled hole through the side of light case, ran wires through hole, and glued transformer to side of case. Reinstalled under the cupboard and it works.

Take the light down, unplug, reach up into the pot to wiggle down the controller, or transformer, the wires are usually to short, take the pot down two screws on either side, swap out old for new, order the right one that matches yours, reassemble, this is a halogen light they get very hot, there is a shield that covers the back side of the light, leave this in place, when reassembling.
