I used this to make a few parts for my car, mostly mounting brackets. I did find that to put any real bend in it, it will need to be annealed before bending or it will crack and break. It is not as malleable as a piece of steel of the same thickness. However, that is one of aluminum's benefits: its high strength to weight ratio. Is that not one of the reasons we use it for Festivus poles?
