Here is what I wish I knew before ordering this:>> Apparently, if I want an accurate timestamp I need to own a computer. Except, I do not.>> Yes, this item records video. And, Yes, it also records audio. However it apparently does not record both simultaneously. Further, it records in segments.

The ability to record while charging meant that I didn't have to pick between keeping it working and preserving battery life. I also liked how extensible the storage was.
