I tried to use this to pull hdmi and other we wired through the wall. I couldn't even get the magnet to pull the string through the wall. I have normal sheetrock at that. Absolutely useless. Save your money.

I ended up using a stud buddy instead of the supplied magnet to help fish some wire for a tv install. For the price it works okay. The wire did start to fray a bit after 2 uses. This is good in a pinch or once in a while.

Doesn’t work at all on drywall where it should supposed to be working. Just a wastage of money.

Had to use a different magnet for this to work right, the small magnet you get doesn't work well through drywall.
