This is a solid set of taps. It comes in a storage box (6 1/2 x 5 x 2 inches), which was a little scratched up by the tools. I have used these to cut threads into PVC conduit and ABS boxes and they do the job well. They're priced well for DIYers.The smaller bits (3/4in and below) have 4 flutes, the 1in tap has 6 flutes. My one criticism is that the flutes are a little shallow - I found myself backing the tool out halfway to clear out the swarf.The smallest two (1/8 and 1/4) fit in my adjustable tap wrench handle. The larger ones can be used in various sizes of 12-point socket with a sliding T-bar:3/8in bit fits a 1/2in 12-point socket1/2in bit fits a 5/8in 12-point socket3/4in bit is tricky - too big for a 3/4in but too small for 13/16in1in bit fits a 13/16in 12-point socket.

I don’t use NPT threads often, but this set is a great way to have the right taps on hand when needed. It includes a good range of sizes that cover most common applications, and the taps themselves seem sharp and durable. The carbon steel construction feels solid, and they should hold up well. The blow-molded case is a nice touch for keeping everything organized. Overall, a useful and well-made set that I’d recommend.

I used these tapes to thread a hole I drilled in a car intake manifold to install a second water temperature sensor for newly added radiator fans. They worked perfectly without any issues. I'll definitely be using them again for another project soon.
