Purchased this to use with my 7†variable speed right angle buffer with 5/8†shaft. This fits 5†backing pads and hook and loop wet and dry sanding discs. I have about 40 hours use of heavy duty sanding and buffing both wet and dry at different speeds. Stays locked on and easy to apply and remove. This will be one of those tool attachments that will most likely outlive the tool it’s used on. I highly recommend!RegardsGFT

This is a great backing pad. I use it on my 8" grinder to polish rocks. It's the perfect size, and have had no problems with sanding pads staying on.

Just to let you it did not come with the drill adapter. I won't be send it back because I can still use it as is. It still a great value but with the drill adapter it would be even better.thanks

I just recently got this. Used it for a couple of hours to sand cedar porch posts. The Backing pads fit into my high speed drill. The sanding paper adhered to it when in use and came off easily when they were worn out.

These work great for attaching buffing or scrubber heads for various chores and projects.

I was really looking forward to using this pad on my angle grinder to do some paint removal on a aluminum frame.. Sadly the pad itself is very stiff and rotates uneven with wobbles.. this causing it to bite too deep into the surface destroying the sanding sheets and overall uneven sanding..This may just be an unfortunate case of 2 bad pads but I’m not sure it’s a good idea to replace them with the same product
