I used these when I added lights to the front of my truck. The connections are exposed and this helps keep them protected.

takes a minute to figure the assembly steps. strip about a 1/4 inch, put on yellow rubber seal, fit metal tip (male or female), practice using the crimper, when crimping try to orient all wires and tips with the plug, and inserting till a click, a light tug to see if its locked in, push up the yellow seals on each wire, insert red plastic gaurd into male part of plug, (break a few learning) , make sure the order of each half mirrors the other, do a continuity test on the connected plugs. 16 gauge is about the largest wire these accomodate.

Work great, very useful. Crimpers are not the best and the box never came with instructions on how to install the connectors properly however they worked fine after figuring out how to install them correctly.

this connector kit is "ok" very low quality plastic, i wouldn't use these in a high stress enviroment.

They will certainly do the job, and for the money there is nothing to complain about. The only negative is that they are not compatible with genuine Packard Weatherpack connectors since the interface is more like a Deutch connector than anything else. Real Packard Weatherpack connectors have individual circular tubes that connect the various circuits while there have an open chamber between the different terminals. Thus, if you are trying to fix a 1980's GM product's harness with a damaged connector for a sensor or module, these will not work. They are best used for custom harnesses where you are building out both sides of the harness.

Excellent selection of fittings and saved me a bunch of money by re-pinning a VW Passat fuel injector connector instead of buying a new on and paying to have it connected

Former GM tech so I have a lot of experience with this type of terminals and connectors. This design uses the red capture bar at the end of the connector to secure the terminals inside the connector. The tolerances are horrible - once a terminal is in the connector, there is no way the locking bar will fully seat. Without the bar, the wires pull out easily as there are no locking tabs on the terminals themselves. Even using pliers trying to force the bar down, the connector body just disintegrated.Would be awesome if these went together, but they don’t. This kit is completely unusable and I will be returning for a refund.
