I experience what another viewer noted, that the cap leaks at the threads. The spigot screws in fine and is water-tight, but that doesn't help when the cap threads leak no matter how much you muscle the cap on. Plumbing teflon tape may have helped with the leaking issue, but I don't want the teflon in my drinking water. Wound up doing with another reviewer did and just used the original cap from the jerrican to insert the spigot, but I really wanted to have all of my cans with caps intact with no spigots during transport.

Both the caps leak. I just used the spigot and cut a hole in the 70mm cap I already had
