I am still working on a large landscape lighting project. This transformer does not have a high wattage so I am using it in a smaller run of lights. It works well. I don't use the photocell option as I have it plugged into a smart plug. It survived a good rain in my area and I think it will tolerate wet conditions well.

I was a little worried about this unit because the placement for it was exposed to the elements more than I would have liked. No overhang and regularly gets rained on directly. I have been using it for a little over a month now and it is working perfectly. I tried the timer functions, but I have an outlet that is already on a timer and I have found that to be easier. It will remember prior settings, so it works well being controlled by the power outlet.

This transformer appears to be a fairly high quality item, with a design that makes it easy to install. I had no problem hooking it to my landscape wiring, and I use it to power four 11-watt led spotlights for lighting trees along my driveway. A really nice feature of this unit is that it gives you the ability to choose between a timed function (with five different duration settings), and a dusk-to-dawn function. One thing to note: at my current total of 44 watts I am well under the manufacturer's recommendation of staying below 80% of the unit's 70-watt capacity, but if you are considering this item be aware that the maker is essentially telling you it's a 56-watt system. I couldn't find any real explanation of why the manufacturer says this, and I haven't noticed anything similar on the other landscape units I've had, but if that's enough capacity for you, this is a good option with nice versatility.

This transformer is priced right for what it is. At 70 watts capacity, with both a countdown timer and Photocell, it gives you a lot for your money. However, it is made of very thin plastic and does not have a grounded plug. Since I have 6 lights near my garage that each put out 9 watts, that brings the total load of 54 watts. Keeping the load at less than 80% of capacity should allow this to run safely housed in my Garage. I was not able to get the Photocell to work during my testing so I will likely put this onto a smart outlet to control the On/Off times of the lights. I am not sure how long this will last, but I am hopeful.

Hooked it up a month ago and its still going well. It has an external photo sensor which I didn't know was a thing but its good. Has enough power to light my 5 low voltage landscape lights so its good.

Does the trick. Easy to use. There's no wifi on this one, but that's not what I was looking for. The dusk to dawn works well. Very easy to set up and attach the low voltage wire. Highly recommend!

I gave this fine-working product only 4 stars instead of 5 because it offers two-hour increments of light instead of one-hour time adjustments.
