These engine lift brackets are very good quality, thick metal. The welds are solid. I use them for trailer tie down connection points. Just drill a hole, use a grade 8 bolt and you have a solid attachment point for ratchet straps, tie downs, and bungee cords. Can't go wrong.

I bought these to attach to a motor for lifting it out with a chain hoist. The appear to be well-made and solid. I’ll have no concerns bolting these onto the inline six-cylinder engine and lifting it out. Happy with them.

Set of four lifting brackets. Can be put anywhere you need to attach lifting tackle. Just find a convenient bolt and attach to as many lifting points as needed. Rated for 5,500 lbs. each, they are strong enough to handle most any DIY project around the shop.

I have a intake manifold lift plate, but that only works if you are installing on a 4 barrel V8. Also I always worry about the stress it puts on an aluminum manifold when installing an engine. These lift brackets are a much better, more versatile and safer option. In the past I have had to install small inline 4 cylinder engines into sports cars and did so with a combination of straps and luck. Using these brackets I have more options for where to connect to the engine and even the transmission, while doing so in a safer manner. I can attach with larger grade 8 bolts and connect to my hoist with a chain instead of a strap. Also the bolt will be in a better shear position that doesn't stress the threads as much. Additionally the curved tab and welded chain link provide clearance away from the block that minimizes damage to fresh paint and nearby components from the attached chain. Overall a much better solution! The brackets are very well made with a smooth burr free finish. You can also easily see that the chain link is fully and securely welded. Definitely the right tool for the job.

Feels solid, but the bolt hole is oblong really badly. Can fit a 1/2” bolt, but a 5/8” bolt does not fit. I will be keeping these since they are pretty cheap, but will be buying the OTC brand for the 5/8 bolt diameter.
