Definitely read your description clearly so you don't get the wrong part. They all look the same but it is important to make sure your getting your size. The new gear on the part is perfect.

The original motor had plastic gears the broke. This one has metal gears and the cam 7283489 is required to replace the broken parts

Motor gear too small can’t function to fitting cam gear .

Was easy to replace, was the part needed for our water softener. Unfortunately we had more issues to fix, softener was old so ended up replacing anyways
