Excellent tool. Saved my bacon. Ford dealer wanted $42 each for the four stripped out bolts. That’s $128 for 4 bolts. This tool saved the bolts. I’m a happy man. It’s drop dead easy to use with a good bench vise holding the bolts. I recommend using a bit of cutting oil for best results.

I usually don't do reviews. I was extremely impressed by this tool!! Right off the bat it saved me $1000-1500 by repairing the threads on a heavy duty trailer axle that had collapsed a bearing and mangled all the threads! This this was a godsend!!

I cross-threaded the pulley that drives my radiator clutch fan. I knew I was in trouble because this pulley is pressed into an accessory bracket (discontinued part) where the serpentine belt rides for a Dodge Nitro 4.0 engine. In less than 10 minutes, I cleaned the threads and was back in business!They key is to know the thread size you are trying to fix and have a fair number of threads in good shape so that you have a decent place to start the tool from.

This is a quality tool that does what it is supposed to, you just have to take your time and don’t try to do it all in one (or 5) pass (s). It took probably 10 passes using lots of lube but finally straightened up the threads so the piston would screw on the shaft by hand on the hydraulic cylinder that I am working on. I will have a lot of use for this since it will work on all sae and metric threads, it even has thread sizes that I don’t have in all of my tap and die sets.

Worked alright but wish it was a little beefier. Seemed to have had a little more play in it than what I expected.That said, I probably am using this tool a little heavier than most people would.It worked and did the job it was bought for.

This tools saved us thousands of dollars by not having to call the axle doctor ,, Use tap and die oil and take multiple passes , if possible start on the inside and work out . We used this on trailer axle on a 53 ft trailer . where as we had had a axle nut back off ,,
