The only issue I had, was I could tell where the package got knocked around. . .but luckily no damage or missing pieces.However the issue is the little bin boxes the inserts come in. They're kinda flimsy. When I opened the case insert flew out and got all of my bed and carpet. The boxes barely pop in place and are held by a very thin lip.

I liked everything about this kit.And it saves me a fortune in buying parts that just need a new set of threads. I use it all the time at work and have bought one for my home shop also.

STOP... opening directions... open with the handles facing up, like making a "V", not making ">"... ok, the blow molded box does not hold everything perfectly. If you open the box in this manner, it's not too bad.Now how about the tools? the look like they will work. I have similar ones and they work fine, no they aren't the brand name, but they work.I was changing my oil the night before a "big ride" and wouldn't you know I stripped a plug. A frantic call to a buddy got me sorted, but I went in the house and ordered this assortment immediately. I never wanted to be stuck in that situation again... so I hope I don't use this and I hope it goes to waste, but I will use them and I am sure they will be fine.

Purchsed the kit to fix a stripped transmisson pan bolt. The helicoil the previous owner put in actually fell out during the fluid change. Kit worked perfectly. Drill bits, inserts, and taps all all aarranged together and clearly marked, Could not have been easier. It was an open ended bolt so was a little concerned the coil would just push out the topside. But threaded very easily and torqued down with no issues. Would definaltly reccomend!

You get alot for the money. The D (length) of the inserts is only 1 length (maybe D1.5)which was too short for my application . I had to make another purchase to get longer ones (i bought an assortment D1 -3. i used 3). I didnt like the insertion tool. Since it wasnt threaded like the authentic heli-coil insertion tool. I was scared it was going to break the tang prematurely and this is not a procedure anyone can afford to have go wrong. I bought the authentic heli-coil insertion tool to do the insert install (and used red thread locker). Bottom line, i only used the drill and tap but i got 5 of them for the price of 1. It was a little hard to get the insert started with the heli-coil insert tool (maybe because i purchased more inserts from another company) so i had to use this kits one to start it but then once started, i finished the thread insert with the authentic heli-coil tool. My thread repair on my aluminum transmission housing pan went well and i was able to torque to spec 85 inch lbs. No more pan leaks.
