Decent chalk holders with the exception that if the tip or higher breaks off of the chalk, it’s hard to get it out. You have to have something small enough to stick through the very top of the holder to push the rest of the chalk down. The grip of it is also not super strong and the chalk does tend to slide up into the holder quite a bit. For the price, though, they are decent.

I got these to help my preschoolers hold chalk without breaking it. If they press hard, it pushes the chalk into the holder. So, for some students it will work, but not for all.

Call me old-fashioned, but there's nothing like a slate chalkboard & chalk for doodling, lists & notes. Because chalk is messy & tends to break when dropped, chalk holders are a must. These plastic chalk holders are as good as metal ones & at approximately $1 each, they're a bargain. I don't think you can find them in regular stores anymore, so I stock up when I find them in bulk. Recommended for anyone who still uses a chalkboard.
