There is no reason to buy this product. It claims to do salt, but does not work at all. I have a salt water pool and so I figured I pay a bit extra to get a rough check on the salt as the season goes on. No luck, the color it turned was not even on its charts.If you don't care about salt, there are other test strips that do the others just as well and usually cheaper

I've only recently started into my hot tub journey and figuring out the chemicals and balancing is part of that process. These strips have been helping me get a handle on that process. I can only assume they are correct as whenever I add anything the readings come out differently. It actually gives a lot more readings then I'm using. But I'm sure in time I'll figure it all out.One thing about these types of strips is that they are very susceptible to humidity and their usability diminishes fairly quickly. Nothing in the box or bottle say how long, but I noticed the ad states 90 days after opening. The box does list the manufacture and expiration date and appears to be 2 years. To keep them dry for the next couple months, I store the bottle inside a mason jar that I vacuum seal the air from.The only thing I wish as an improvement would be if the color chart was also included on a separate sheet. Since I store these inside, but need to use outside, would be easiest if I could just grab a single one or two, reseal the container and just take the paper with me. As is, I have to carry the jar with me and if I do get in the hot tub, I worry myself about leaving them outside with the humidity levels we have here. Granted, I'm probably overly stressing and they are relatively cheap enough but still would be nice to leave the jar inside and just take a copy of the chart out.Overall, I guess they're working out well enough. And they certainly supply plenty and they show results very quickly. So for now I'm happy.Peace and perfect water

I really don't know if the Salt reading is correct because I have nothing to compare it to, but the other readings all match my pool supply company. Now, I know everyone is thinking - SCAM. No! Not my pool supply company. I managed to find an honest one. They sell me what I need and nothing else. I've even offered to buy stuff at certain times and they'll tell me I can if I want, but I don't need it. The readings from these strips matches what the store says I need every time. Even down to the quantity. If something is really low or really high, they give me more of the needed chemicals to balance everything back out. Pools are a pain in the behind, but this product really helps make the management of a pool so much easier. Price is great too.
