I have no clue what Sous Vide is or how it works, so these clips were not purchased for that. I picked them up because I am in need of some clips to use in the kitchen for various reasons. I figured the price was good for the amount you get, so I could put them to use all around the kitchen. I have read the other reviews (I always read reviews before purchasing something) and so far I don't see any problems with my set. While they do feel cheaper than some other clips we have used (that broke and needed replacing), these don't feel like they will fall apart in your hands or when you try to use them. They are a thick plastic that seems like it won't break, so we shall see. I don't have the ends falling off and needing to be put back in. They have gripped solidly on whatever I have used them on. At this point they have been used for closing bags that were opened and needed to be held shut, to clip together recipes I printed for my family to help cook throughout the week, to clip a note to my husband's lunch bag so that he would see it in the morning before going to work, and to clip a baggie on the side of a pot so it wouldn't float away. They have worked for anything I have tried using them with. I have had no problems and am pleased with the performance. If anything changes, I will return and update the review.

As a longtime Amazon buyer, I am reticent to say negative things about the products that I buy. This is the exception.These are the world's most poorly made clips. The orange plastic heads fall off during the very first use. One actually broke at the hinge on the first use. The price was actually four times higher at Amazon than an identical product bought at a flea market straight from China. Those broke too, but at a cheaper price - No worry. If you want bad quality, you get what you pay for with these clips.

The magnetic pull is incredibly strong and they’re also heavy enough that you can just put them on the bottom of your bags to serve weights.

When the clips are in the heated water, the soft ends of the clamps (the orange pieces) become too loose and fall off when I open the clip. It's not a deal breaker - the clamp is just fine with or without them.These clips replaces some other ones I had that were made of tin or something - half of them rusted, half didn't - that were also recommended for sous-vide. I like these much better.

These clips are okay, but the tips keep popping off. If the tips weren’t bright orange and easy to locate, I would have thrown them all out long ago. They are a little tough for me to clip on pans, and this will likely become more of a problem when arthritis really sets into my hands.

Clips are very strong and easy to use. Would recommend. I do wish they were smaller so the lid can go on top of the sous vide container easier.

I used for clipping the bags to the side of the container. However, they are a bit too small to fit on the cooler I was using.
