These work really well, and have the advantage of NOT adding a lot of height to your lamps and harps. Solid metal, brass. Screwed onto my harp just fine - and I was able to screw it down several turns. That's good and secure. The finial is heavy enough that it holds the wire section of the lampshade well, there is no tilting of the shade. The finish is similar to 'india brass' items: meaning that it's mostly smooth, but with small folds or inclusions in the metal here and there. Not a lot. This is expected, and normal. Adds a bit of character and it LOOKs like real brass. It does not look like cheap plastic. These are nice. Perfect for what I need.

I am a potter and have just started making lamps out of clay. I have been collecting high quality lamp parts so when I get to the putting together the lamp part the hardware will match the quality of my work. I think my work is pretty nice, and so are these finials! Pretty silver color, very nice weight, and will show off any lamp shade in a subtle way. I have no issue with using these very nice finials with my art and can easily recommend them to others.

Very nicely polished tapped solid metal finials. I did not notice any burs or scuffs and the threads appear to be cut well. Could not ask for more than that.

8 PCS 1/4-27 Lamp FinialsSolid, well mad lamp caps. The screw on well and hold the shade in place, what more can you ask of them?This was a great replacement for the horrible plastic cap which had the screw post break through it's top! 5 stars.The photos on Amazon, provided by the seller, do more justice to the product than any I could add. Any additional photos I might add would only prove redundant.Explaining my rating system:5 - a superior product - I would highly recommend4 - above average – a great choice3 - average – what one might generally expect2 - below average – I would advise seeking an alternative1- Horrible – a waste of your valuable money - avoid if at all possible

I always thrift the lamps I have in my house but often, the finials are missing or broken. It is nice to have this set of finials to use, whether I'm using them permanently (as in the picture) or just as one to use until I can find the right replacement. Fits great!
