I've gone retro with an Aquarius+ computer that's been re-imagined from a Z80 computer of the 1970's and needed a decent monitor. I did have a 10 inch but that took up too much desk space and the 7 inch monitor I had was not very good and this one was perfect for going back to my roots of working with 8 bit micro CPU's of the time. As the Aqyarius+ has sound out using a 3.5 mm jack, its easy enough to plug into the monitors RCA lL&R audio inpuyts. I also liked all the mounting options like wall mount or in my case the stand is a perfect fit for sitting on top of the 5x7 inch Aquarius+ which runs off 5 volts USB at 3 amps.

My monitor just died.I needed this to setup a few PC s. Who'd new this would be a lifesaver.The price seemed fair. This unit will run very warm but not HOT.I ran into some issue while setting up the base. Have not tested the sound. Screen size is definitely like a first generation Android Tablet from 2011.. I will not return it as it is very useful.

I use mine as a secondary screen for karaoke. I have it set up on a mounted pole mount by the microphone and it provides the singer a small screen that doesn't get in the way. It has a multitude of inputs so it will work with your device. It's lightweight and mountable on a standard monitor mount.

I was surprised by the quality of this 8-inch monitor. The unit has a textured black, sturdy metal frame with excellent fit and finish. The frame affords two mounting options: a two-piece metal sliding dovetail surface mount, and a plastic stand with an angularly adjustable and pivotable head arrangement which mates with a rear slot on the monitor back. I really thought that the plastic monitor stand was going to be a toss away, but it actually holds the monitor fairly well and is great for portable use. The boomerang shaped base of the plastic stand includes two holes for “permanently†mounting the unit. There is also a pre-cut double sided foam adhesive if you really want to stick it down forever. I would have preferred a single sided foam backing to protect surfaces when using the monitor in portable mode.The monitor itself is extremely sharp, packing nearly one million pixels into a 4X7 inch screen. The In Plane Switching (IPS) panel displays consistent and accurate color from all viewing angles, though it does consume a lot of power, which results in a lot of heat. The 16 small cooling slots on each side of the monitor do not provide a lot of cooling. Additional holes on the top could have supported better free convection (the bottom is filled with inputs for power, BC, composite, VGA, and HDMI). Anything you can do to help move air over this monitor, like placing in the path of and AC vent or fan air stream, will help it run cooler and last longer.The single 1â€X1.5†speaker is functional but a naturally anemic. The speaker is however plug-mounted to a connector on the circuit board, so it would be easy to grab the output to feed a larger speaker if it was desired for your application. It looks like it was set up for stereo, as there is a second plug and location for mounting a second speaker, but I did not test it. The main circuit board itself looks clean, and all of the input ports are securely mounted to it.Overall, I really like this JINSWY 8-Inch 16:9 Color Monitor. It is compact, highly versatile, and well made. If you are looking for a small monitor for your next project, I think you will be pleased with this little monitor.

Having two monitors connected to my PC satisfies my needs most of the time. However there are occasions when a third monitors would have been very helpful — such as when I was writing a relatively-large nonfiction book and gathering, and alternating between, a lot of online research information, Therefore, I toyed off and on about getting a third monitor — but I'd not found a good place to position it on my rather full desk. (I have occasionally used an old 32 inch, 720 P flat-panel TV, situated on a nearby bookcase, as a third monitor. However, the view on that monitor, positioned so far from my desk, seems awkward and unpleasant.)Enter this little 8 inch monitor. It has the same resolution of my 32 inch flat-panel TV but in a compact package that can sit right next to me on the front shelf of my standing-desk accessory. See the attached photo of my set up, which shows the new 8 inch 720 P monitor and the old 32 inch 720 P TV effectively side-by-side. I have connected this 8 inch model to the HDMI port of my PC. Note the brightness of the screen — even brighter than on the other two monitors in the photo. I shot that photo when the monitor was set to only 15 PERCENT of its maximum brightness! The manufacturer does not overstate the excellent brightness of this product.Considering that this little monitor has the same resolution as the much larger 32 inch TV (four times the diagonal size of the little monitor), it's not surprising that the displayed image, though small, is quite sharp. And because the little monitor is situated so close to where I'm sitting, the small image size is acceptable. See the attached screenshot. (Again, the monitor was set to only 15% of maximum brightness when I made the screenshot.)Very pleased to have this product..
