Well packaged, nice plastic storage box as they will be used infrequently. Devices are sturdy an look well built. I have a coffee table with a 44"x 60" x 1/2" thick glass top. It is very heavy and awkward to take off. The bottom surface collects dust and needs to be cleaned every 6-12 months. The suction cups make the job of taking off and replacing the glass top very easy. The pressure gauges are easy to read and clearly show if there is any loss of suction. I opened the first ,of two, suction cups placed it on the glass and pumped out the air. The gauge showed a quick loss of pressure. My first thought was that it was defective. Taking a look at the bottom of the suction cup, I found a roughly 1" long x 1 mm piece of loose rubber. that prevented the base from sitting firmly on the glass. It was that quicky removed and a re-test showed good suction and the gauge stayed steady. The second unit worked fine out of the box. Definitely a much easier job with the suction cups and my wife will be happy that the glass will get cleaned more frequently.

I used this suction cup to help replace a 3 foot by 5 foot sheet of window glass that had a broken corner. It worked flawlessly. The gauge allows you to monitor the amount of suction the device has as you pump it up. I pumped it up to a little over 400 and it held the large sheet of broken glass without slipping. I then used it to install the new sheet of glass and again it worked flawlessly. I have since used it to install 4 more large sheets of glass with the same results. Worked perfectly. My only negative comment would be the user instructions. My suction cup came in a sealed case and there was only a one page sheet that does not actually tell you how to use the unit (just tells you how to clean it), but if you watch a basic video you can learn how to use it. It is really very simple and straight forward. Don't let this stop you from buying it. It is well worth the piece of mind knowing you have a dependable suction cup. Make sure you remove the cover on the bottom of the unit before you use it. There is a button on one side of the unit to pump it up and a lever on the other side to let the air out.

I haven't used this suction cup a lot yet but so far I think it’s really solid. It’s easy to pump up and holds really really well

Got this and immediately gave it a try on a heavy marble pastry board I have. It grabbed hold and stayed put, no way it was coming off till I wanted it to. If I remember my high school physics right, an 8 inch suction cup should hold around 700 pounds, the product says 500, probably to give you a safety margin. These things are great for (literally) getting a hold on anything smooth and heavy to make it easier to move. That means big sheets of glass like a coffee table top or window, marble for counter tops and large smooth tiles. Uses people don't think of as much is for moving furniture and appliances. A wood desk, fridge, stove, table or similar are often on glides or wheels but are still hard to move just because they are smooth and don't have a good place to grab hold of them. With this, pulling the fridge out for cleaning is easy, stick it to the front and you have a good hand hold right away. Worked great on my heavy desk too, it's on glides and not hard to push, but it is hard to get a grip on to pull or adjust it, this suction cup makes that easy. This suction cup is very similar to others that sell for $10-$20 less, but this one has a couple of things that make it worth paying a bit more. The main thing is that it has a vacuum gauge that gives you a real good idea of how good a hold you have. If you stick it to a surface that's too rough or anything is making the vacuum leak, you will see the gauge falling right away and know how much time you have left. Without the gauge you might get to moving something heavy and not realize you didn't have a good grip till it was too late! With the gauge you know right away. The other thing is that this suction cup comes with a case. Others I've looked at don't. Since you really need to keep this clean for it to work, it's good to have a case to keep it in.They also include some extra seals/filters and a long wire hook. The instructions you get are pretty minimal, they don't show how to change the seals/filters and don't explain what the hook is for. There is also a plastic cover for the face of the suction cup to keep it clean and undamaged. So it works great, and getting the case and vacuum gauge make it worth paying a little more for.

This has very strong section. The one thing I would say, is you definitely need to put on a flat surface or you will not get a proper seal, and it will not hold.

I ended up getting four of these as I was installing triple glaze windows that were 300+ lbs each. Couldn't have done it without these things. They reliably held the glass, good grips. Don't get the ones w/o the gauges, you need to know that you have sucked the glass well or the glass could drop off.

It does the job with the peace of mind from the pressure gauge

I have quite a few of these suction cups and this is amongst one of the most expensive ones although it does have pressure gauge which most others don't have. The physical build quality seems just fine but it has an all-plastic construction which I'm REALLY not a big fan of especially considering the fact that it claims to be able to lift up to 500 lbs.I had previously used these to close or reduce the gaps of hardwood floor; however, because it has a plastic frame, it can NOT really be used to fix the gap since it's unlikely to survive all that hammering. I'm disappointed to see that it does NOT have an all metal construction (or at least the frame/joint where it makes sense. The best feature of this suction cup is undoubtedly the pressure gauge. I have no idea and can't determine if it's indeed accurate but it also doesn't go beyond 550 mmHg. For reference, one standard atmospheric pressure (at sea level) is 101.3 kPa, 760 mmHg, or 14.7 psi. That really makes me question the quality of the pressure gauge and how much this suction cup can really take.≡ ValueAll things considered, this appears to be a decent suction cup with pressure gauge; however, it's entirely plastic and the overall quality just seems a bit inadequate although it does work as intended (up to around 40Kg/90lbs) during a test. It is pricey at $80 for what it provides and its plastic body. For comparison, you can easily get a pair of 8" (yes, 2 of 'em) suction cups similar to this one without the pressure gauge but they are made of metal handle/frame for about the same price. Your mileage might vary.
