I dropped a couple of pieces off at a local machine shop to have milled and never heard from them again. I called several times and they kept saying they would call me when they were done. Well, they never called. So I set up my drill press as a milling machine and did it myself.I was quite surprised at the quality of these mill ends for the price. Individually packaged, clean, oiled, and sharp. I milled out (4) pcs of 14 gauge steel tubing making 3 passes without a hiccup. Still have more to do but this one still seems to be like new.

This set of end mills is just what you need to add to your tools. It is more economical to buy this set than to have the same size cutters properly sharpened. Go figure!

Tried to mill a flat on mild steel using a drill press and an X-Y vise, and these wouldn't touch it - they just polished the surface. I'm sure they'll work on brass, plastic or wood, but haven't tried that.

Obviously these are MM. They did not fit in my R8 collets without using a flat head to pry apart to force the tool in to the collet. They are sharp, however using lubricant I couldnt get these to complete 10 passes at only 2 inches long before it was dull and stopped cutting. I did not even turn the tip black, they just do not last. For the price I had to try them out. In my case I got what I paid for.

As others have noted, these are metric. Doesn't matter for my application where a range of sizes is more important than a particular size. The larger mills are not centre cutting (see picture) but I'll be using in a drill press for a first quick cut to help create a flat for improved starting of a twist drill bit. It's the smaller bits that are more likely to bend when starting into on a sloped surface. Saves trying to file a flat notch or something when a small bit won't start straight, probably save a few bits too by avoiding bending. Well packaged and labelled.

Great variety of sizes. Three of them were used to complete the task.
