Bought these to make hot chocolate powder and spiced tea Christmas gifts and they were perfect on both wide mouth ball and mason jars. The removable silicone ring is great since everything you store doesn’t need to be completely airtight. If you use the rings they don’t screw down as far due to the thickness of the rings so don’t force them and you still get an airtight seal. I also used them for homemade preserves and got an excellent seal. Good for canning if you’re using a water bath method but everyone should know you can’t use in a pressure cooker since the high heat and pressure will deform any type of plastic. Will definitely buy more. If you’re reusing jars from store products, mayonnaise, pickles, etc) be aware that they may not fit since those containers are not necessarily a standard size.

They fit the quart Mason jars perfectly, and the silicone seal and the removing tool work perfectly! The colors are nice too.

I use these lids when I’m storing things for short term use, not something I am canning or vacuum sealing. They are handy for sealing things in wide mouth jar that aren’t food, like screws, buttons, etc.Btw, they have them for regular mouth jars too. That’s how I started using them, when I was making overnight oatmeal for my spouse every day.They come with silicone liners to make the seal on the jar more water tight, but honestly I haven’t used them. If I was bottling liquid for a longer time more than a couple days I probably would use them.I have also found that the lids fit some commercial jars, so you save on using another jar. So far I use the regular lid on Spaghetti Sauce jars, which has been helpful.I find that these lids are a good buy, they save you money over buying the regular mason jar lids, which rust and can’t be reused. They are easy to clean, just pop them in the top row of your dishwasher.I haven’t had any troubleI do recommend these lids.

These are nice. The silicone ring seals well. Its easy to over tighten them though.
