I've been using the Adjustable Suction Cup Seam Setter for a few weeks, and it has made a noticeable difference in my countertop installations. This seam setter has come in very handy since I got it. We haven't used it for seaming, instead we've used it to hold pieces perpendicular while we have to glue/nail/attach items and regular corner clamps wont do. The suction is great and holds onto plywood just as well as it does laminate.
