These replacement clutch cables appear to be the same as ones I’ve bought in the past for my snow blower. I picked these up just in case I had another failure, but we haven’t had any more snow that required the snow blower. Visually and length-wise, they’re a perfect match for the others I had on hand. I will update this review if I have any issues with these in the future.

I am not sure if I should rail against the manufacturer of this specific product or Cub Cadet in general. All in all this is poor design. I have to replace the cable at least 3 times each winter because the design of the snow blower is so poor. I replace the cable and then after an hour, I have to adjust the tension because the cable is stretched. I repeat the same process for every hour of use until the hook wears out and breaks after 8-10 hours of use and I start the whole process over again. If I am not home when it snows, my wife has to constantly yank on the cable to get it to engage. Horrible engineering by Cub Cadet. Will never buy anything from them again.

First one broke after the second use right at the hook on the clutch end. The second one broke in the middle of the first use at the same spot me they are cheap Chinese made springs. Not worth a penny let alone $13. Look to buy locally if you can, and American made. These things are junk.
