For this kit to work correctly the red hot water kit must turn the faucet differently from the blue cold water kit. The hot and cold water repair kit sleeve were identical except for color. Because the blue cold water was the same as the red hot water kit the handle would not turn correctly. After 30 minutes I could not figure it out and had to call a plumber who charged over $200. He pointed out the blue unit was the same as the red unit.

My moen bathroom faucet was dripping. My initial thought was to just replace the faucet... then I realized how expensive the faucets are (mine were installed by the previous homeowner). I quickly realized it's much cheaper to fix the faucet than replace it. It was a little bit of a pain to take apart my faucet, but once the faucet was taken apart, the cartridge was very easy to replace. and the new cartridge works like a charm! ever since replacing the cartridge, my faucet no longer drips! I would highly recommend this moen faucet repair kit.
