I got this rug pad for a rug we have in the living room. We had to trim it down to size a few inches, but that’s only because my rug was a tad smaller than an 8x10. It’s extremely easy to trim to the size needed.My rug in my living room is pretty thick so couldn’t tell how much it changed the feel in comfort wise. I can’t say it gave my thick rug any padding, but for a thinner rug, I would assume it does.When you first get the mat, of course it’s folded. It has so many creases in it that I worried it wouldn’t lay flat. I took an iron and pressed the mat and it got most of the creases out that it laid flat enough to place the rug on without any issues. It has a rubber backing and it does help tremendously with no slipping of the rug. It does hold it into place well. It looks and feels like it’ll hold up pretty well.It’s a great item, but to me, it’s a tad bit expensive for what you really get. I would still recommend this pad even with the price tag.

The small rugs I've gotten, particularly the thinner ones, migrate all over the place necessitating pulling them back in place multiple times a day. So I needed a pad between the rug and carpet and hoped this would help. It does! While it doesn't completely stop the top rug from moving, the pad has made a big difference. Also, the pad is felted and not real thick, but it does add a nice comfort level to the top rug.

This is a good rug pad to use under the washable type rugs. I have a 6' x 9' rug in my office over a hard floor and it was not very comfortable under foot. This pad makes standing on the rug much more comfortable. The rug pad was about 2" longer than 9 feet so I had to cut it. It is better to have it too long than too short.The rug pad comes folded so it will be very wrinkled once opened. I decided to see if I could iron it on a low setting with steam. I set the iron on 4 setting polyester so it would generate steam. It worked on the wrinkled felt and did not melt the backing. The wrinkles came out and the rug pad laid flat on the floor. I ran a fan on high over the rug for about an hour to make sure all the moisture was out before putting the rug down. The rug pad grips the floor and the rug holds nicely without sliding around.

Nice and clean and tidy, uniformed material (not the scrappy type) and uniformed thickness, which is cuttable but still enough to feel it is providing some padding {but also allowing a lower profile look.} A great balance of convenience plus functionality. It has non-slip backing and on the whole great value and easy grab in future when needing another rug pad! I did roll it up for a minute to relax fold lines but the weight of the rug on top (which isn't heavy) hastened that along actually quite a bit easily on its own.

This is a great rug pad if you are looking for a non slip to keep your rug in place. I wouldn't say it is super thick, so it isn't for someone looking for real cushion, but if you are looking for a sticky nice pad, this is it. Would recommend!
